By Bouncy the Tennis Ball and Otto Graph

Hi everyone! Bouncy here with my buddy, ‘Swiss Pen’ Otto Graph. Thought you would like to hear about my owner’s, Maria Melody’s, trip to London during the Wimbledon Championships. She took along me and Otto. She might have needed Otto to sign autographs for her tennis fans. (Otto helped me write this Blog. I spoke; he typed. It’s a great way to work together.) Maria wanted to do some shopping on her day off, so we bounced over to the Lacoste Boutique at 2A Duke Street, London W1, as well as the big department store called Selfridges. Yippee! Lots of fun escalators to ride!

After shopping and enjoying a stroll in the sun, we spotted a really big, bright yellow sign — WIMBLEDON LIVE – ‘Summer in the Square’. The sign stood outside a small leafy park called Portman Square Garden. Some tennis rackets and nice tennis balls, like me and my tennis ball friends, were printed on the sign.

‘Let’s go in here,’ shouted Maria. Awesome!

We went in to the park and saw a huge bright clear TV screen showing WIMBLEDON LIVE tennis. Friendly people were sitting on the grass or in bright yellow deck chairs while they watched a match. Agnieszka Radwanska from Poland was playing Garbine Muguruza of Spain! Everyone was clapping and cheering their favorite player.

Maria sat down in one of the yellow deck chairs. Very comfy! Yellow is such a stylish color! Me and Otto sat in a deck chair, too. A lady sitting on the grass told Maria the WIMBLEDON LIVE event was organised by the BAKER STREET QUARTER PARTNERSHIP. There was even a tennis court inside the square that could be used by people living there.

‘Whoopee,’ we cried. It was a fun free event! We watched the whole tennis match. Giant congrats to Gaby for winning, but I felt sad for heroic Aga. If you can’t get to the Wimbledon Courts, this is a fun way to watch tennis. A great idea!

The match had ended and it was time to go. A couple of tennis fans in the park recognized Maria. They’d seen her win the ‘Pasadena Pacific Tennis Club Championships’ in California where Maria and I first met. She and Otto signed some tennis balls and t-shirts.

Leaving the park, we walked down Baker Street and found a yummy milkshake parlor nearby the ‘Sherlock Holmes Museum’ where the slick detective used to live at 221 B Baker Street.
