Splits was originally a sparky, fun-spirited tennis ball who came from the same ball factory as Bouncy.
Splits realized that no matter what you look like, life can still be full of fun and adventure…even if remaining a little mischievous at times…Sssss!
But sadly, when Splits first rolled out of his fresh tennis ball can for a match at the ‘Pasadena Pacific Tennis Club’, no one knew that he had developed a small tear along the lining of his round body. After being hit powerfully by a tennis racket several times, Splits’ rubber and felt body burst at the seams. Thus, Splits was quickly discarded over the court fence into the storage yard wilderness by a cocky ball kid. In the yard, Splits’ ball body soon fell apart, leaving him as a dirty yellow strand. Dispirited, he took to slithering and skulking around the dark, dangerous yard like an unhappy snake, falling into company with Crew Cut and his gang of ‘Baddie Balls’.
