Grumpy veteran tennis ball, Crew Cut, spent several years trapped in the storage yard wilderness outside the tennis courts at the ‘Pasadena Pacific Tennis Club’.
For Crew Cut, the future now looks bright and action-packed with a chance to once again be a ‘star ball’.
He’d been struck over a court fence into the yard during a festive Fourth of July tennis tournament, soon to become forgotten and neglected. In the yard, Crew Cut rallied together a small group of other forgotten, bitter balls, who became known as, ‘The Baddie Balls’. In his fleeting former years, Crew Cut had been a ‘star ball’ at the Pasadena club, often winning big points and important matches for the up-and-coming new young talented players. Nobody could move around the court in a rally like Crew Cut! However, those were the days when he went by his real name, now just a memory. But, fortunately for Crew Cut, fate intervened.
